Went to start GBPVR but hit 'Re-register filters' instead (shame they are next to each other in the start menu).
Now Live TV does not work at all. GBPVR reports "Object reference not set to an instance"...or something like that. PVRX2 does not report an error but just goes back to the menu.
Also 'Resume' no longer works on DVD's, and it takes ages for a DVD file to start playing.
So what have I done by re-registering the filters? And how do I fix it?

I doubt re-registering the filters would have caused any of these things you describe, but reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs, and I'll take a look.

Ok I will post the logs - but I can assure you all was working well before re-registering the filters.
I was launching GBPVR only to check correct decoders etc being used (As usually I use PVRX2 in FSE, so cannot see the task-bar icons)

None of the filters are used when playing DVDs, so it definitely wont have any effect on that.

It could possibly be the cause of the "Object reference not set to an instance" error, but the logs should show that pretty clearly.

The error when you try to access live tv seems to be because the recording service isnt running (or because you have a firewall getting in the way of communication with the recording service).

Sorry I shut down the recording service to make the logs neater!
Here they are again:

Yeah, the "Object reference not set to an instance" errors are definitely caused by the filters not being registered. If you try rerunning ReRegisterFilters.bat, do you get any errors?

Oh dear - I ran re-register filters again and this time clicked 'OK' to each prompt that came up on screen. Last time after mistakenly clicking on re-register filters, I just closed down the DOS box - and presumably this caused the filters to not register properly.
All is now working, thank you.
I'm having one of those days when everything I touch, I break!
