Coverart / fanart image sizes???

I have to admit I don't bother too much about "art" images for recordings / videos / music etc on my npvr setup so I don't really know much about this stuff.

Question: Are there any general sizes (image WxH), densities, aspect ratios used by the various sites that provide the art images? I'm assuming different sites might provide thumbnail as well as small, medium, large images?

Pretty much all the sties I think of focus on HD today, CD Covers are squarish, Movie Covers (typically called Posters) are usually 2x3 ratio and backdrops are almost always 1280x720 or 1920x1080. Thumbnails for video are usually frame grabs, but there quality varies.

Yep, squarish for music, rectangle (dvd cover shape) for videos. Large variety of sizes, and slight differences to aspect ratio.

Thanks guys. So basically a bit of a mixed bag - I'll concentrate more on general shape and aspect ratio rather than worry about actual pixel size and density.
