Hello,

In the last couple of days, I've started seeing this error and I've not been able to figure it out:

"Recording Error: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal."

For tuners, my main NextPVR machine (version 3.2.9) has an internal Hauppauge HVR-2250 and also uses the tuners from a SiliconDust HDHomerun Dual network tuner. At this time, analog recordings on the Hauppauge sometimes work but most fail with this error. I haven't gotten any shows to record from the HDHomerun Dual, however. This was all working and only seems to have started having issues within the last couple of ways. For sure, a scheduled analog recording of Vikings worked fine last Thursday night and last weekend I was recording fine from the HDHomerun Dual.

I know the HDHomerun Dual is working fine because 1) I can watch live TV from it and 2) My second NextPVR machine (it is still on the version prior to 3.2.9) is able to record from it fine as well. I'm not quite sure what might be happening, so I've attached the Logs folder in a zipped file and recordings were attempted on 4/6/2014 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM and again from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Neither worked and failed with the message above (there were zero byte video files for each of these recording attempts).

Thanks

I see that exact error when Windows Media Center on another PC has grabbed a tuner on my SiliconDust HD HomeRun Prime before the NPVR server gets it. I have to use WMC for a few channels that are set to CopyOnce. Sad

Thanks, but the only media center PC I have was turned off and this also happens with the internal tuner too. I am baffled.

You also get this error if the disk is full.
server: NextPVR 5.0.7/Win10 2004/64-bit/AMD A6-7400k/hvr-2250 & hvr-1250/Winegard Flatwave antenna/Schedules Direct

In this case, disk space is not an issue -- C: has 140 GB free and D: has 3.2 TB free. It is odd because it just suddenly started happening.

Is this happening with every recording, or every recording on a certain tuner, or intermittently on random tuners?

So, I've got an internal HVR-2250 and a network-based HDHomerun Dual. The 2250 works sporadically but will fail with that error at times. I can't get any recordings to work from the HDHomerun Dual right now. I know the Dual is working fine because as I previously mentioned, I can watch TV on it and record from it using another NextPVR machine I have.

Firewall issues with the HDHR would be machine specific, so working from another machine doesn't mean much.

Yeah, I'm guessing firewall as well.

If you end up with a zero byte file when recording, it's almost certainly that.
