I've got two things on the new Videos details screens. First, when there are multiple items in the directory, I am prompted if I really want to delete an item when I select Delete, but on single file directories, it doesn't prompt, it just deletes.

Second, there is some inconsistency in what is displayed for the files. Here is a simple example, the files in the directory are:

Castle (2009).S06E20.That '70s Show.ts
Castle (2009).S06E21.Law & Boarder.ts
Castle (2009).S06E22.Veritas.ts

And below is the display. So why does the second one display most of the whole file name, while the other two don't?

There are other permutations of this behavior, but this was a simple one where all the files were the same type and in the same directory.

Thanks.

Is that second file definitely "Castle (2009).S06E21.Law & Boarder.ts" or is the name slightly different? (like '.' instead of first space or similar.

Alternatively, was the first and last file recorded (ie has embedded metadata), but the second one was downloaded?

The three filenames were copy-and-pasted into the message, so they are just as given. Just to make sure the "&" might not be the problem, I tried changing it to "and" but the same thing happened.

And all three were recorded, so shouldn't be any different in that respect. I use the StoreSeparateMetadataXml option, and all three files have corresponding xml files, too.

Can you zip and attach the three metadata files?

That looks very similar (but not quite the same as mine end up in two different screens) as the problem I have with those Die Hard ones that I uploaded the metadata for but never got an answer as to why they display that way

Yep, that's definitely the cause. It doesn't like the ampersand in the <filename>. I checked the code though, and it looks like it's correctly escaping the string.

ttfitz, was this recorded with the current release, or recorded in the past with an older release?

An older release - I'm running 3.1.1 on the machine that recorded those.

I'll take a look at some of the other places weird stuff is going on, see if anything similar to this ampersand thing might be happening.

Yeah, I think this was a bug fixed in current release. You shouldn't get it happening with any new recordings made in 3.2.9. You can always edit the metadata from these old recordings to fix it.
