TV Guide Update Incomplete

I just got NPVR installed. Everything is working well except the TV Guide update.

When I run Update EPG, the TV Guide only shows info for 12 hrs into the future. i.e.: If I run the update at 4:00 PM, it only displays program information up to 4:00 AM on the next day. All time slots beyond that are "no show data" Also, when I double click on a program the details only show the program name, channel, and time. There's no show description.

Opening up the TVGUIDE.xml file in WordPad, I can see there is complete data, including program description, for every time slot and channel for 7 days into the future. It's just not getting into the TVGUIDE display.

The EPG is set up using mc2xml as described in this link:

I'm using NPVR v3.2.9 on a Dell GX620 with a P4 HT 3.2GHz processor and 2 Gig of memory, running Windows Vista.

No error messages appear during the EPG update.

It looks like you've got your EPG set to use the ATSC over the air EPG, which typically only has 6-12 hours of listings. You need to point your channels to an xmltv file, select the channel mapping, if you want it to use the EPG from mc2xml.

That fixed it. I used the bulk channel list to point the EPG to TVGUIDE.xml and everything works well. I think it got pointed to the wrong place because I already had the channels set up when I found the article on setting up mc2xml. Thanks for the prompt help. Tonight I'll move the computer from my workshop to my den and start the "use testing".
