I've regularly imported mpg files into NPVR before but for some reason it's stopped working. I have an xml file in the standard recordings.xml format and when I run the import from the settings utility it says it has imported the right number of recordings..... only problem is.... none are then present in the database.

I've double checked the files are present and the names in the xml file are correct.

I can't find anywhere in the logs which shows what's going on in the import process.

How can I find out what is failing?

Maybe try the import then post the npvr.log so we can see if there is any errors.

Hi Sub,

Thanks for the reply. I've examined the NVPR logs over multiple attempts and there are no errors. In fact there's nothing that even shows there has been any attempt to import the recordings at all. Despite this the settings utility consistently say it has successfully imported the files but there appears to be no update to the database.

You'll have to post your xml and your log.

Hi Sub....Please ignore my stupidity. Just realised the import xml file I created had a format error in it. Things have changed between GBPVR and NPVR and I was using an old template to create my input file.... Doh!

All fixed now :-)
