AutoRemoveMissingRecordings=true only works with TV Guide enabled.

I use alibert's TV listings/recordings plugin and I note that his plugin doesn't obey AutoRemoveMissingRecordings=true.
It seems this only works when your TV Guide is enabled. Would it be possible for your purge code to run irrespective of whether the TV Guide is enabled or not?

It's not dependent on the TV Guide.

Assuming he uses the built in API to load the recording list, that logic will be carried out.

right so when TV guide is enabled, upon npvr startup. TV Guide purges missing recordings using the API to load the recording list (even if the guide is not selected).
So alibert's guide would need to replicate the same behaviour and load the recordings list via the API on startup.

My thought was whether the npvr client itself should handle this natively without any plugin needing to read the recording list in order to trigger the purge.

As long as he is using the built in API to load the recording list, then it'll do it.

ie, all he needs is this one line of code:

ScheduledRecording.LoadAll();
