Limiting saved searches

Could NEWA saved searches be restricted to once per unique ID like NextPVR rules do. In this example, the same show Meredith Viera gets recorded many times, and I have to wait to actual day to delete them.

Assuming you are using the all channels option for the search?

Yes it is a description search and I don't care what channel it finds it on.

One issue could be that the event is on channel-x which is HD and on channel-y which is SD.... if the search limits to only to an occurrence of the unique event id you would only see it available on one of the channels. Correct?

Correct, I would like it to work like NextPVR's any channel any time. If I don't like the choice, there is still "Find All" to help me out.

So does NPVR record any channel, any time just schedule the 1st occurance of an unique event id on that channel and then ignores that unique event id if it is found again?

Yes. I believe in addition to scanning through the recently deleted table, NextPVR checks the unique id in the scheduled recordings table, past successes and future.

Yes, that's correct. It takes into account the unique id in recently deleted, ready recordings, and pending recording.
