Something strange about my NextPVR setup and I'm not sure if it is an issue with my video card or NextPVR.

I can get logs, but I wanted to try asking to question first to see if anyone knew what might be the issue.

From the main menu of the program, where I can select Live TV, Guide, etc. the program is full screen. It takes up the entire screen.

When I watch either a recorded show or live tv, the program appears to have a border around the image. This border is around the entire image and the overlay information is contained inside this border as well. It's as if the video window is smaller or something... If I take the program out of full screen the border is still present inside the window.

When I exit the video the guide or rest of the program is full screen, as expected.

Thanks for any assistance.

What video renderer and video decoder are you using? Either way, probably bets to post the logs.

Try pressing F7 to see what mode the windows are in... Mine cycles thru - PillarBox, Auto, Fill, Remove LetterBox.

It is on Auto, but I cycled through the options, didn't help getting logs now.

I was using the Microsoft DTV one and tried ffDshow to see if there would be a difference. No change. I attached the logs from when I just watched CBS.

Look at your codec settings don't matter which one you use as I run SAF codec and it has an option to display video info during play back I bet you have something enable causing this.

What resolution are you running on your monitor? Does it work ok when you are not full screen?

I'm using 1920X1080 out to a Samsung TV over HDMI.

When NextPVR is in Windowed mode, not full screen, the border is still present when watching a video stream (live tv or recorded)

I was using the Microsoft DTV codec... Is there a way to get to any options? On ffMpeg I do not have any of the output options enabled. Let me see what happens if I disable Hardware acceleration on the video codec... maybe the ATI drivers are doing something... maybe...

Are you ATSC, QAM or Analog?

Are these high definition 16:9 videos, or standard def 4:3?
