dont use kodi pvr clients they slow it down (too much crap going on in background)
use x-newa only
.

stustunz

Can I ask what overclock you are running, is it an Rpi2 and do you have heatsinks? Did you actually remove kodi pvr clients or just use mvallevand's sticky to boot straight into xnewa?
I need to find a site which recommends which services can go. Is there an add on that can do this like the config.txt add-on?

With the rpi2 I don't change anything from stock openelec
But I don't run any pvr clients they are just annoying hogs of cpu cycles
Just use xnewa with set to look like npvr (wrb client)
Add the mpeg licence key

In advanced settings
Edit the shares so comskip works
And change the way it skips to be more like npvr on pc

Thanks stustunz

OK. I did add Leopolds Config utility so I could have the option and set it to "Modest"

OK. I take this means straight into X-Newa, you don't actually have to disable anything, just not run other progs.

Done.

stustunz Wrote:In advanced settings

Done but still getting my head around it

OK. Not sure how but will research.

I have a fair few addons for movies music etc
Just have xnewa as a add-on link on main screen of kodi under skin settings
I find myself using kodi addon for movies more than npvr as TV programs here have been rubbish lately
