I've run across what a strange issue that started a little over a week ago. NPVR records according to the recurring schedule but once the recording is completed the database is not updated. I reboot the machine and the recordings show up as failed due to "Recording Service Not Running at time of recording" in the database. Without thinking I cleared those entries out last night. I hadn't been home for about the time it started so I figured I had lost power or something but the problem persists. I was able to successfully import the recordings using vidimport.

Any ideas where to look at what might be causing the problem, logs attached.
Chris

You didn't include all the logs.

Sorry, thought I only needed those two, zipped up the entire logs directory.

I can't see something specific, but certainly one of the tuners that suspect was failing hadn't been used since Sept. (ndigitalhost-25)

That card most likely was a Hauppauge 1600 I pulled when I was troubleshooting a failing motherboard. It never went back in since the motherboard was replaced with one with no PCI slots

The problem would appear to be intermittent. It only did it on four recordings yesterday and appears to be working fine now. I hate gremlins. Smile

These were the ones that got recorded on the tuner that magically was being reused.

I had a Hauppaugue 1600 that i bought on ebay intermittently fail recently. I've been using it with SageTV and sometimes it would work fine but other times a recording would stop and then start again so a single recording would be broken into sever pieces.

Did it again, this time the entire day but I was able to import 24 recordings with vidimport. Question about how the recording engine works. If the database is locked, would it still be able to read the database and continue recording even though it could not write to it? I don't know enough about SQLite to be able to answer that question. I hope that makes sense...
