Black screen on live TV?

Trying to figure out why I'm seeing just a black screen in NextPVR when I try to tune a live TV channel. While I've found posts about similar problems here, none of the solutions seemed to fix my issue.

First, the set up - Using an HDHomerun Extend with an OTA antenna. I know the tuner works because I can go directly to the channels within Kodi (via Video>Files>HDHomerun). But if I try using the Live TV option (NextPVR set as the backend), the channels fail to load and I get a "Tuner No Longer Available" error. This sometimes causes Kodi to freeze up.

And if I try to use NextPVR on its own, every channel shows up completely black. I scanned the tuners, and all the channels are listed in Settings. I've got decoders set and paths for recording. When I first installed it, it seemed to work fine. Once I started running into problems, I tried re-installing, but that didn't get me anywhere.

Focus on getting it working in NextPVR before you bother looking at Kodi.

If you schedule a recording, do you get end up with a valid file (playable in either NextPVR or other player)? If you end up with a zero byte long file, then it's most likely firewall related (needing exceptions added for nrecord.exe and ndigitalhost.exe).

Yeah, I figured the Kodi issues might be related & figuring out NextPVR would be the first step. Just wanted to be thorough

Tried setting a recording, and I did get a zero byte file. But I already have nrecord.exe and ndigitalhost.exe allowed through the firewall.

But I did just try disabling my firewall completely, and NextPVR suddenly worked. Maybe I'm still missing something in the exceptions?

Ah! Looks like I just figured it out - I had the box checked to allow those .exe's on my public network, but not my private network. Looks like it's working in Kodi now, too. Thanks for your help! I should've realized it was something obvious.
