.net error after installing

Hi all,

ive had to rebuild my HTPC and when i try running ntray or nextpvr im getting the following error. there use to be a bunch or pre-reqs listed but i see they are all gone now but for some reason .net doesnt want to play ball.

any ideas?

It needs .NET 4.0, but the installer would normally install this automatically if you don't have it. You might have to try manually installing .NET 4.

yep - tried uninstalling the version that NextPVR installed and then downloaded the client from MS but same deal still not working....very strange in deed. i checked the MS site and they say to check what version is installed go to the registry and look under HKLM so i did - looks like i have the correct version installed but still no go..

Did install as admin right click......

yep - UAC disabled on this machine as soon as it was setup

think i have found my issue - bloody windows didnt install correctly - grabbed another disc from a mate and its working ok - same licence key just different media.... WTF !!

i had about 20 windows 7 patches etc coming through to the pc before i rebuilt it with the old dvd - now i have over 200 including IE11 so something was up with that dvd..

Sounds about right
There is a.net repair tool if you google the error sounds pretty common

I just installed Win7 on a VM from the 2011 image yesterday and it had 193 update. The joys of using end of life products.
