Cable Scan

Hi

I am trying to scan uk cable. I have modified one of the scan files with a known working transponder, but no channels are picked up. I have tried scanning using progdvb which does find channels on the same frequency and card.

I have 2 cards installed a TechnoTrend DVB-C 1500 and DVBSky T9580

Neither of which find any channels using NextPVR.

I'm not really sure what to suggest. The logs show no obvious errors, but it looks like the device doesn't lock onto a frequency, so no data is delivered to the application.

Are you sure this tuning info is correct? I thought that typically QAM64 was used for DVBC. Symbol rate is typically 6950 but I don't know if being 2 off would make a difference.

I heve found that 6952 is the actual symbol rate here, and there are many mux'es that user qam256. I'd recommend trying different frequencies.

Oh but you can still find the channels if they are encrypted. And if they are, it is still possible to receive the channels using a smartcard with reader in combination with NewCS and Acamd.
