I'm running version 90.10 of GB-PVR

Now and then, a cmd window pops up with these lines in it:

c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>cd c:\programs files\devnz\gbpvr
c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr>PriorityRecording.exe 1>recording.log

... and and error box pops up titled
"PriorityRecording.exe - Common Language Runtime Debugging Services"
... that says
"Process id=0xe24(3620), Thread id=0x850(2128)

Any idea why? How can I 'fix' this?

make sure you have a priortyrecordings.xml file in the gbpvr directory. You can download it on wiki.

Thanks. That file wasn't there so I've added it. Now time will tell if this solves the problem.

Just realised I was getting this error too. But in my case the xml file points to an xsd file in c:\program files\.......

And I have installed elsewhere. So I have had to edit the file removing the path leaving it as priorityrecordings.xsd, and removed the default programs from the xml file, and it seems to be okay.

I have had the exact same problem since the 97.07 upgrade, i.e. JIT debugger error and also if I run priorityrecordings.exe manually the error is reproducable. My error is just like these fellows pics http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=8...ostcount=1 and http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=8...stcount=21

Now, the http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/CDKScheduler page says "This MAY NOT work with 97.07 as it accesses the GBPVR".

I am not sure if this error is BECAUSE of 97.07 but it happened after I installed it.

From previous posts I have checked:
1. The path to C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd in the priorityrecordings.xml file contains a ":" after the "C" and before the "\" and that the path is correct. From http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=9...stcount=49 and http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=8...stcount=11
2. I do have a PriorityRecordings.xsd file in the gbpvr root dir. http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=4...ostcount=6
3. The date of my RecTracker.dll files http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=4...ostcount=8
4. I do have a priorityrecordings.xml http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=8...ostcount=3

What I haven't tried is to change the xml file, simply because it ran fine all the time up until the upgrade. My xml file is something like this

==============================================
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<GBPVR d1p1:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\PriorityRecordings.xsd" xmlns:d1p1="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">
<Configuration>
<MissingRecordingPriority>0</MissingRecordingPriority>
<Conflicts>Delete</Conflicts>
<DuplicatesAllowed>Yes</DuplicatesAllowed>
</Configuration>
</GBPVR>
==============================================

but I understand from some other posts http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=2 that it could be more like the one in that referenced post.

In the interim, I have rem'd out the line in PostEPGUpdate.bat that runs PriorityRecordings.exe, which is the executable that generates the error.

I'd be grateful to know if it IS the 97.07 issue, in which case I will just keep the rem, or whether I should play around with the xml file.

I suspect that this is an incompatibility between .Net 1.1 and .Net 2.0. I believe the 1.1 framework and the 2.0 framework can live side by side so you might want to try keeping a copy of 1.1 installed and see what happens.

KingArgyle,

Hmm.... I have both installed, side by side and had this for quite some time (at least 1 or 2 GBPVR versions) before 97.07. ... Burger ... so that can't be it ...?

I haven't run into this error, but a quick web search turned up this possible solution:

http://p2p.wrox.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8844

It sounds like a policy setting error. Let me know if that thread fixes your problem or not.
