Hi Guys

I need some help please.

I can't get a replacement NMT to work, I had got a another one from ebay after my previous one wouldn't power up, but I can't get the replacement to show the NPVR interface.

It has been a bout 4 months between swaping them, I don't think I've changed anything in that time, I load MVPMCX2 from a USB disk, I've tried it using a NPVR 3.2.9 setup on Vista as well as an other setup on Win7 using NPVR 3.3.8 but to no avail.

The logs attached are from the 3.2.9 Vista installation.

Hi Martin

Here's the NMT Syntax Check output.

Checking for mvpmc share on HTPC
mvpmc C:\mvpmc

Checking GB-PVR.html links
C:\mvpmc \GB-PVR.html not found

NMT IP Address: fe80::20c0:1ac6:7c4a:355b%10 MAC

GB-PVR Not Installed

N-PVR Installed C:\Users\Public\NPVR
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/HTPC:mvpmc/npvr.cgi">N-PVR</a>
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/NETWORK_SHARE/NETWORK_BROWSER/browser.cgi">N-PVR via Network Browser</a>
<a href="http://localhost.drives:8883/USB_DRIVE_A-1/mvpmc/usb_a.cgi">N-PVR via USB</a>

Enabled true
Port 8866

The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

Checking NMT Version

Checking NMT Display

Calling NMT Source

Any thoughts?

A few, I see IPv6 in there that won't be support by the NMT, NEWA or NextPVR. Also NEWA is not running and I checked your logs and it isn't starting so maybe that is IPv6 related too.

Sometime Windows doesn't have localhost defined as 127.0.0.1 in the hosts file, that is where I'd start if you are sure IPv4 is working.

Daft question - as it's pre-owned, did you go into the NMT settings and check that they match your setup?

Hi Alex, NMT system checker would tell me that if it connected, that was one of my thoughts too.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the advice as usual it was relatively simple/obvious.

I found a erroneous IPv4 address in the NMT DNS1 Server settings and discovered a router DHCP wasn't working. After correcting the NMT and restarting the router I am able to connect to both systems.

Oddly I couldn't get the recordings to work from the Win7 NPVR 3.3.8 server but they we fine from the Vista NPVR 3.2.9 server. I'll leave that for another day as the Vista setup was the I wanted to get working and I'll upgrade that to 3.3.8 soon.
