LiveTV nrecord logfile rollover

I'm using an NPVR client to view live TV. I noticed that the nrecord logfile on the server fills up and rolls over about every 5-6 minutes. Is that normal? The makes the nrecord log of little use unless a problem is recognized before a live TV session is started.

Yep, that is normal when you're using a client. There is lots of info related to streaming included. I'll reduce it for the next release.

OK, in the interim I'll backup my logs more frequently.

Can the number of logs be increased? I know that there is no user set variable for the size.

Not currently. Maybe in a future release though.

The attached patch should reduce the amount of logging when streaming to clients.

I installed the patch and watched some live TV from the client today - now the server log will rollover after 11-12 min of live TV, so about half as much logged. Is that what you expected?

I don't know. I just removed some of the common messages. I don't have a client setup right now, so not sure how long it'll go. If you can post your log, I'll see if there is some other messages I can remove.

OK, those patches give about 25min of liveTV per logfile, which is fine - I don't use the client much more than 40-60min a day, if that. Here's a sample:
