Just upgraded to Windows 10 and report 0 problems. NextPVR is running as good as ever, recordings seem fine and the Kodi interface is working for me....

The only issue I've tripped over so for is how my Cygwin installation pops up 3 windows when I start it, however, it's a pretty old install, so I may just need to update it.

That's good news. I have mine on "notification" but wanted to be sure it works with NextPVR before I upgrade :-)

If you don't feel like waiting:

I went the ISO route, burnt a DVD and did an upgrade.

Did run into one problem when trying to hit the web interface
Code:
[HttpException (0x80004005): The current identity (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM) does not have write access to 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files'.]
   System.Web.HttpRuntime.SetUpCodegenDirectory(CompilationSection compilationSection) +711
System.Web.HttpRuntime.HostingInit(HostingEnvironmentFlags hostingFlags, PolicyLevel policyLevel, Exception appDomainCreationException) +231

[HttpException (0x80004005): The current identity (NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM) does not have write access to 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files'.]
   System.Web.HttpRuntime.FirstRequestInit(HttpContext context) +660
   System.Web.HttpRuntime.EnsureFirstRequestInit(HttpContext context) +95
   System.Web.HttpRuntime.ProcessRequestInternal(HttpWorkerRequest wr) +449
Had to manually create the directory "Temporary ASP.NET Files" and restart the NPVR Service, then the web interface worked as expected.

Well I had an unfortunate experience with Windows 10 over the weekend.

I decided to Reset the PC to clean it up. Something went wrong during the reset and I got an invalid bootloader error.

So I downloaded the Windows 10 ISO files from Microsoft, created bootable USB drive, and proceeded with a clean install of Windows 10.

Install started fine got halfway through it and encountered black screen, nothing else. Waited awhile but it was apparent this black screen wasn't going away so I restarted. Still a black screen, no access to BIOS. I know this sounds crazy, but it seems that the Windows 10 install bricked my Dell PC's BIOS firmware. I've removed the CMOS battery to reset the BIOS but no luck.

So, when you got the invalid bootloader error did you happen to have any USB Drives connected? (I've had a few USB 3.0 Drives cause issues.)

Also do you have more than one Graphics Adapter in the system like one integrated and one card? (I had the install choose the wrong adapter and moving my monitor didn't make it switch so I had to wait along time with a blank screen while it installed. (Some of the newer Motherboards allow the integrated to be active when a card is installed))
Intel i5 3.2Ghz Quad Core, Windows 10 Pro 64Bit

Hmm, no I didn't have any usb sticks connected at that point. I connected a USB stick afterwards in order to do a clean install to fix the bootloader issue.

No extra graphics adapters I'm just using the integrated adapter. Tried both the HDMI and VGA ports neither work.

after a few days of tinkering I was able to get the BIOS reset back to default by switching jumpers on the motherboard and pressing & holding the power button at certain intervals.

afterwards I was able to access BIOS again, but computer was still acting up and I wasn't able to fully recover. In the end I created bootable USB disk with updated BIOS firmware and problems went away after installing that.

so after all those headaches I was finally able to complete the Windows 10 clean install.

Not a fan of 10, unless someone has a legit reason for using (pirated windows copy perhaps), than I see little reason to switch.

It's much better for font scaling than Win 7.
