Unhandled exception searching for devices in Windows 10

I am trying to use NextPVR. I have installed in on a machine that was recently upgraded to Windows 10, to replace Media Centre.

The machine is running the latest patches and the latest HDhomerun software. I tried removing HDhomerun, and the error is the same.

When I go to the Devices page in the Settings, it immediately comes up with an error dialogue:

Unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application.

A procedure imported by 'Unmanaged.dll' could not be loaded.

Then there is this text that I have copied and pasted:

I assume this is a new install of 3.5.7, with no changes?

Post your logs after getting this error, they may shed more light on what might have happened.

I have attached a 7zip of the entire directory.

As with other people who have posted about unhandled exceptions(for example http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...-exception), there does not seem to be too much there, to my eyes, anyway. Maybe you'll see what I am missing. I certainly hope so, because I was really banking on NextPVR to replace Media Centre.

Can you see if running the 'Stop NPVR Service' shortcut, then running the installer from http://www.nextpvr.com/NPVRSetup_3_5_7.exe again, makes any difference?

I've reinstalled about 6 times. Each time I stop the service, uninstall, reboot and re-install.

Should I do it differently? Is there an explicit set of the required run-times and frameworks I need installed? Is there a way to test your installed runtimes and frameworks? Is there a verbose logging option?

Ok. You hadn't mentioned you'd already attempted a reinstall.

Normally you wouldn't need to install anything else.

You might need to see if you can download the x86 version of DependencyWalker from http://www.dependencywalker.com/, and use it to unmanaged.dll, and see if any of the top level DLL dependencies in the top left are missing. (like MSVCR110.DLL)

OK, I have tried dependency walker. You will have to put up with my inexpert interpretation of it as there isn't a way to export the results, from what I can see.

There is a whole lot of red:

Error: At least one required implicit or forwarded dependency was not found
Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found
Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing export function in a delay-load dependent module


I have taken a few screen-shots and attached them. If I had tried to screen-shot everything with a question mark, I would have been old and grey before I would have gotten them all. If you can tell me what I am looking for, I will try and find it and post more screen-shots.

Unfortunately these types of warning and errors are normal in the modern world of .net apps and delayed loading modules and calls. No obvious sign of any problem there.

Any chance you could zip those screenshots, so I get a size I can read?

If you close-up the tree in the upper left, are there any signs of the very top level objects marked as missing.

Also when you scroll down panel about half way down the screen, when you just get past all the yellow question marks, are there any red items?

Sorry - instructions are bit vague because I'm not really sure what missing item I'm looking for, and I haven't had to use depends in years.
