Whenever I watch TV from the machine running NextPVR, I see an information banner on the bottom of the screen. Is there a way to turn that off? I've looked through the settings, but I don't see anything.

Thanks

A screenshot that shows the banner might help trigger some thoughts as to the cause.

It's a "retail banner" from the TV. Google it.

There is no setting which turns it off. I don't think anyone has ever asked for this before.

You can press a Alt-B to make it go away, or you can change a setting in config.xml to reduce how long it shows for it.

Sub,

ALT-B did not make it go away. What setting should I look for in the config that will change the length that it shows?

Thank you.

If you have a wireless mouse, try switching it off.

rosede, you should only be seeing it when you change channels, or when you move the mouse. It'll show for about 4 seconds.

HMMM....I don't think that it had ever timed out. I don't normally watch TV from the NextPVR server, only when I'm in that room and don't have the ability to watch on the regular TV. If I am watching TV on the NextPVR server, I am only watching TV, not doing other work. I am usually using another machine to do my work.

Yes, I do have wireless mouse on this server. I'll try switching it off and see if that allows the timeout.

Thank you gentlemen for the feedback.
