Recording stops live TV

I just noticed that when I am recording a show and also watching it live, when the recording is finished, the live tv will exit instead of continuing. Is that the intended behavior?

To reproduce:
1) Within the EPG, select any show and then select Quick Record.
2) Back in the EPG, select the same show and select Play.

When the recording finishes, then it will exit back to the EPG.

Yes, that is the expected behaviour. When you're viewing the details of a show marked in red in the tv guide, you're viewing the details of scheduled recording. You're telling it to 'play' that recording, which is what it does - and when it gets to the end of the recoridng, it'll stop. You can of course start live tv and watch that channel (but not from that 'recordings details' screen), and it'll continue watching live tv.

As sub says, when you watch that way you are not actually watching live tv - you are playing the recording in-progress.

If you want to watch Live TV on a channel that's already recording, select the show in the EPG and press the PLAY button on the remote (or Ctrl-P). No menu item is available for this. Alternately you can start live tv on some other channel, then tune to the channel being recorded using pgup/pgdn, direct channel entry, or quick-guide (anything but the full onscreen tv guide).
