THANK YOU for adding the PVR support in KODI.

I now have NPVR working again on my old Windows server (see SIG for confiuration).

I am using OPENELEC KODI on an Acer Revo 1600 as a client....works GREAT for playing back HD files and I can now watch live TV too (thanks to sub and NPVR).

HOwever, not all of the EPG is being displayed on KODI, only certain channels. On the Windows NPVR server, all the channel stuff is there, but not on the client.

Is this a know problem?

In Kodi go into settings -> TV. In the general area scroll down to Clear Data. That will clear out all the EPG and channel data and reload it from NPVR. I have problems like you've mentioned from time to time, and clearing all the data always fixes it. Once you've done that, it should automatically update.

Ok, I cleared it and reloaded the guide data.

In NPVR, everything is fine.

In KODI, the guide data is there (I found it), but it is five hours off....(blah blah blah)

Well, I did some Web searching and found out what was going on...

I had not setup the localization fo KODI, which is found in the "Settings -> Appearance -> International" menu.

You have to go to that menu and setup your location, timezone, etc. if you want the client to know what is going on.

If you do not do that, then it's very likely the displayed EPG times will be off between the NPVR backend and KODI frontend.

Also, if you are using the OPENELEC version of KODI (self-booting Linux OS), the you may also need to set an NTP timeserver in the Network menu. I setup "pool.ntp.org" as Timerserver #1 in OPENELEC.

Doing those two things seemed to fix the time sync issue for me.

I did this change to the Intel version of OPENELEC running on an Acer Revo and the Raspberry Pi version running on a Pi 1, Model B. It worked on both configurations.
