Tried to fit other blackout scenarios to my situation but just couldn't. So...

From initial launch of NextPVR, I click Menu then Live TV. The screen shows live picture and audio but the video disappears after one or two seconds. NPVR window contents are as shown, audio is normal:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

If I maximize the window, this is what I see on the desktop, audio/video is normal:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Finally, if I use the alt-enter keystroke, the windows reduces to the following, normal video/audio:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Selecting "Watch" from the TV Guide results in the same behavior. Recording TV is perfectly normal.
Attached is relevant log file. I hope...

Should I re-install NextPVR?

Thank you.

What video renderer are you using? What decoders?

Decoders are as shown below:
[ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

Did the log show anything?

Usually EVR video renderer would be the best option, but I suspect this is the cause of the problem. Are you using manufacturer video drivers for your video device or generic ones? What video chipset are you using?

Video card is an AMD Radeon HD6670 and is using the drivers that are marked as Advanced Micro Devices dated 11/4/2015.

Also, in the interest of full disclosure, NextPVR has been flawless over the past 2 months and I have been reveling in its reliability. But I'm wondering if I'm having problems because just a few days ago, I needed to uninstall then reinstall Corel Video Studio X6Pro because of an audio issue. Could the re-install of this application screw things up?

Perhaps. I have run the X5 version without issues. Have you tried re-installing the graphic cards drivers?

Ugh! Drivers...hate 'em. I resist that suggestion since NextPVR had been working perfectly until some recent event occurred. BTAIM, asking the system to update drivers for the video card results in a message stating that drivers are at the latest level.

Did you install NextPVR before or after installing Video Studio X5?

Also:
-If I use the ctl-k keystroke and record the black screen, recording and playback is just fine, no issues.
-NEWA using //localhost:8866 brings up Live TV without problems.
-Trying the different decoders for the video renderer results in a black screen, sometimes with surprising results.
-Pressing the ESC key while in the black screen will return me to the where ever I started Live TV.

Is there a switch I can flick to get more useful information you can look at? (It is maddening to see a perfect HD picture pop on and then vanish.)

Thanks for your help.

Did you try switching to vmr9 to see if it helps?

I installed X5 after npvr. To re-install the graphic driver, you'll have to delete the graphic card in device manager and tick the option to delete the driver. Then reboot and install the driver again. Can't guarantee that it will help thou...

Still no luck with defeating the blackout even after reinstalling drivers and loading the SAF decoders.

I have a work around as follows:

Start NextPVR
Select LiveTV - Video shows for just a few seconds, audio is normal. This is CBS-HD chnl 502
r-click -> Picture-in-picture -> Channels - Original CBS-HD appears
Select NBC-HD chnl 504
504 appears as PIP but 502 returns to black
r-click -> Picture-in-picture -> Swap - 504 goes fullscreen but no 502 PIP
r-click -> Picture-in-picture -> Stop - 504 remains fullscreen
Use keyboard to select chnl 502 - 502 is also fullscreen
Video now remains fullscreen regardless of channel selection
Press ESC returning to screen before LiveTV
Select program from guide. Video/audio is now perfectly normal.
Problem will re-appear when NextPVR is launched anew or a 2nd instance is launched.

If this is a bit much to follow, I have created a 90sec 15MB .wmv screen capture to illustrate. Logs are ready to attach. If you'd like to see the video, please PM and I'll direct you to my FTP server where the file can be found and downloaded unless you have a place I can hook to and upload.
