I'm having challenges with NextPVR when recording NCIS: New Orleans. NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles work fine.

When I look at the TV Guide in Next PVR (I use zap2xml to create the EPG data) I can see both NCIS and NCIS New Orleans in the guide and are marked to record.
When I look at Recordings under Reoccurring Recordings I see NCIS, NCIS: New Orleans and NCIS Los Angeles
When I look at Recordings under Pending Recordings NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles both show fine, but NCIS New Orleans appears as just NCIS. I figured I need to address this before I can look at any issues with imageGrabLite. If NPVR does not see the show name correctly in Pending Recordings it is likely passing the wrong info to imageGrabLite.

It is very odd that the guide and reoccurring recordings shows it correctly and pending records does not. The file being saved is named NCIS instead of NCIS New Orleans even before imageGrabLite is run.

Here is a sample of the EPG data for the next NCIS New Orleans from my xmltv.xml file used by NextPVR.

Maybe to do with the Settings->Recording screens 'recurring match' setting? ie 'match start of title' vs 'match exact title'?

Just checked here and our server is set to Match Exact Title and grabs all 3 NCIS versions with the titles complete and correct. Also, Schedules Direct is our EPG provider.

Are you talking about the feature that removes "All New" or "Movie:" from the start of show titles? I don't think it's anything to do with this.

I'm guessing that this is the OP's problem. I believe that if 'match start of title' is desired/needed for some other recordings, moving the priority of the "NCIS: New Orleans" recurring recording up in the list to be above "NCIS" would give the desired results in this case.

Yes in another thread another user confirmed that this spinoff works with iGL http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...ew-Orleans

I believe in earlier testing this was also one of my complaints about inconsistencies in the metadata logic since non filename characters were treated differently for some art than others.

I just changed it to match exact title. I'll see how it goes on Tuesday. It's odd that NCIS Los Angeles worked fine, but not NCIS New Orleans.

In your recurring recording list, does NCIS Los Angeles have a higher priority than NCIS (i.e. higher in the list than NCIS)? And does NCIS New Orleans have a lower priority than NCIS (i.e. lower in the list than NCIS)?
