Recording a series - yes another but read all old ones

Ok so I have searched the forums and read and looked at pics when given. Mine looks different and not sure why and what I need to do.

I am new to all of this but got most of it working. I can record a channel and all so all good through my hdhomerun prime.

just looked outside of Kodi - NextPVR runs stand alone... DUHHHH
well that works so its just the Kodi interface.

If you're issue is that you can't set NPVR to record new episodes, then that will get fixed when Kodi is updated to 16.1. There's a fix for the NVPR addon that fixes that issue. If you're having some other issue, a more detailed explanation would help. I had to guess about the new episode thing based on the pictures you posted.

Sorry I wasnt descriptive enough...
So I can record a series in NextPVR standalone app but in Kodi I am unable to record a series.
I will wait for the updated Kodi to see if that fixes it.

Are you doing the correct steps in Kodi to schedule a series recording? ie, if you right click a show in the tv guide, and select 'add timer', you should get a popup window with the recording parameters, including "Type: Repeating (Guide Based)"

that sums it up... Repeating (Guide) doesn't translate to me as record all new episodes... ok cool... ill stick with the nextpvr stand alone app and use it as it makes more sense...
