I have a Hauppauge HVR-2550, which has two tuners. Setting up the device recognized both tuners, but I found that when watching live TV, when a scheduled record starts, I get a message telling me to select LiveTV xor the scheduled record.
If LiveTV is using one tuner, shouldn't a scheduled record use the other tuner?

Did you setup the channels on both tuners?

Let me correct my post by stating I have a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2255. NextPVR shows this as a Hauppauge WinTV-7164.
I scanned on both digital TV tuners and each found the same 42 ATSC channels.

The latest version of WinTV v8.0.34180 (CD 4.7 with Extend) is installed, but was not being used. I was watching Live TV, when a scheduled recording started, and the Live TV stopped and showed a message to select either the LiveTV or the recording.

Yep, that's normal - that is the name Hauppauge used for the tuner in the driver.

What you should do, is scan one of the devices, then when you double click the second device to set it up, it says something like 'you have another device and would you like to copy the channel configuration from that device?'. You should click 'yes' to this, which ensures you end up with one set of channels available from both devices. Otherwise you end up with two sets of channels, with each channel only being available from a single device.

To fix it, you can double click one of your tuners on the Settings->Devices screen, select and delete all the channels from that device. Hit ok to save, then double click the device again, and answer 'yes' to that question.
