Ever since I upgraded to the 91.8 maintenence release, this happens.

4/1/2005 9:20:39 PM.421 ERROR [4] Error starting webserver: Could not load type b0 from assembly GBPVRRecordingService, Version=1.0.1858.33969, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.

Restarting the recording service doesn't fix it. Rebooting doesn't fix it. A reinstall of the .8 release doesn't fix it.

Any ideas?

Also, although I won't go in any depth, deleting recordings still causes object reference errors, it has for every version I've used. If there are three programs in a group, it's impossible to delete the last one, it's impossible to even highlight it without leaving that group. Trying to select it (and hitting ok) causes errors.

As an aside, would it be possible for a release of the C++ DirectShow code? I'd love to be able to use it.

Delete all the files form c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\web\bin except gbweb.dll and gbweb.pdb, then restart the recording service.

This is not an open source project.

Would you ask Microsoft for the source code to Microsoft Word? Well you might...but they wouldn't give it to you.

Perhaps then as somebody with DirectX experience, you might give me a hint about what the problem here is.

Quote:c:\program files\microsoft directx 9.0 sdk (december 2004)\include\strmif.h(1024) : error C2146: syntax error : missing ';' before identifier 'HSEMAPHORE'
c:\program files\microsoft directx 9.0 sdk (december 2004)\include\strmif.h(1024) : fatal error C1004: unexpected end of file found

This is from a ready-made Visual Studio project that should by all rights compile already. I notice that creating a new blank C++ file that includes dshow.h (which must at some point include strmif.h) results in the same errors.

I'm fairly certain this has nothing to do with the Visual Studio IDE or my compile enviroment, and a Google search comes up with nothing and none of my friends knows anything about DirectX. I realize this is well out of the scope of GBPVR support, but this seems like such a small thing. So I ask in the hope you already know what the problem is.

Can you point me in the right direction here, please?

I've not encountered the error myself, so dont really have much advice. You could search the newgroup archives at deja.com which might turn up some references to this error.
