After a reboot I'm getting this in the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe-1.log:
ERROR [4] Error starting webserver: Could not load type bz from assembly GBPVRRecordingService,
Version=1.0.1800.30400, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null.

Worked fine last night before the reboot (and after the upgrade)

Any guess as to the nature of the problem?

Where can I get this old DLL? I've can't find any mention of the web server in the logs, but today I rebooted and now the web server isn't working. It's currently alternating between "Cannot find server" and "The resource cannot be found." errors.

No - I meant the old dll CAUSED the problem. I've customized parts of the webserver and therefore accidentally replaced the files in the web\bin directory with older files.

I'm currently having the same problem.. I can't be sure when it came about. It was working a couple days ago.

I also remember installing a MS .net patch yesterday though.

Is that the problem?

Okay. Would anybody have any idea how to fix it? I remember two .NET security patches that came out. Is there a DLL that just needs to be recopied?

I took a look last night to see if it was an easy fix, but unfortunately that doesnt look to be the case. (why cant anything be easy on this project!!!Wink I've posted a note on the Cassini project site to ask about the problem, so hopefully I hear from one of the experts soon. In case you didnt know, Cassini is used as the built in web server.

Any known way to get the webserver running under IIS? I tried and was getting permission errors until I gave IWAM_PCNAME full access to temporary .NET files, and then was getting some assembly not found error.
