Using DCR-2650. I think this is something new. When I select record season click OK, back to guide the program is still green, I I select record once program is red. I have re-installed, installed previous version, even installed a recent backup of whole Win 10, no change.
I need help!!!!

My guess is that the episode you're looking at has been added to the Recently Deleted list, so it won't be recorded by a recurring recording.

You can just put in the season recording to catch future episodes, then pick up any that are missing with quick/single recordings (Find All will be most helpful here). Or you can dump the Recently Deleted list by running NextPVR.exe -removehistory

I have this problem on NBC weekly programs. More info; please. how to find the remove history in the program. Everything works fine in WinTV8

as I said, if you want to remove the recently deleted history, run c:\program files\npvr\nextpvr.exe -removehistory (or c:\program files(x86)\npvr\nextpvr.exe -removehistory if you're running 64-bit windows)

if you want further diagnosis, setup your recurring recordings (even if they don't mark anything red in the tv guide), click Update EPG in Settings->Channels, then post your npvr.log. however I'm pretty sure it's just going to tell me what I've already surmised, that the episodes you want recorded are in recently deleted history.

I'm getting the same problem. If I use Quick Record then the request is processed and the channel goes red. But if I select Record + Season New Episodes nothing happens.

I have run nextpvr.exe -removehistory and refreshed the EPG. Log files are attached. I'm using 4.2.3 (181112)

Have you checked the original air date? IIRC, for NEW items NPVR checks that the original air date = current air date.

It looks like a problem in NextPVR the unique_id stored in the database is bad

Did you create that in NextPVR or did you import the recurring recording?

This problem occurs on all programmes so IIRC must be a red herring.

I recorded that programme using NextPVR. But .... a few days ago my EPG stopped being refreshed, even manually. To try and fix the problem I refreshed the DVB-T channels. This caused channel sort order issues, wuth channels either being sorted in frequency order or 1, 2, 21, 211, 3 type orders. Eventually I deleted the database and rebuilt from scratch. This fixed everything but lost the recording history. So I restored these using Settings/Recording/Import Recordings. After this I noticed the season recording problem. A tale of woes I'm afraid.

I did keep a copy of the database with the sort order issues.

You likely will have to get rid of that bad entry in your recordings table in the database or edit it in a sqlite editor. If you go back to the file without recurring recordings, you can also edit the xml file to remove or fix that bad line. Replace the & with &amp;

Not sure how that file got into the EPG in the first place, there might be problem with how NextPVR creates a fake ID.
