No tuners and cannot watch/record

Logs are attached

I see no tuners when looking at NPVR "Show status". Also get "Unable to communicate with recording service" when trying to watch live tv. The tuner is available and I have scanned channels using NPVR successfully.

Used NPVR last week without problems. I have installed a VPN service but I don't think that's the cause?!?!

The error in the log starts at "Unexpected socket exception calling StartStream(): System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): The requested address is not valid in its context 127.0.0.1:8968"

Any ideas?

I have tried restarting, stopping recording service. I have even uninstalled and re-installed NPVR. My tuner is available in device manager.

What type of tuner do you have?

Can you go to the settings->devices screen, then post the logs again?

This sounds like your recording service isn't running? Have you tried rebooting?

I'd certainly start by disabling the VPN you say you recently installed and testing again.

Weird - recordings are happening but recording tray does not go red - but still can't get live TV to work - have disabled VPN and rebooted etc.

Let me play some more - the only important thing for me is that recordings work.

Does seem too much of a coincidence that setting up VPN was done after last week (I have been using NPVR for a few years now without VPN).

If I find anything or get it all working again - I'll let you know. Thx for the help!!
