Stuttering video

Clean install of NextPvr on Win7 with a HDHomerun as tuner.
I have set the HDHomerun config to MediaPortal as suggested in Wiki
Connected via Gigabit Ethernet

LiveTV is perfect at first but after a few minutes begins "stuttering" or hanging on certain frames - then sometimes it catches back up for awhile.

Viewing the windows Resource monitor reveals no bottlenecks, though it is a 2.4ghz i5 with 4 gb ram...

A shot in the dark ... are the network connections running at full speed. A connection might step down to a slower bitrate if, for example, the cable is a bit dodgy.

Have you verified that your NIC is really operating at gigabit speeds?

In the HDHomeRun Setup you might want to try "Default" in the BDA Compatibility Mode.

Could also be a video codec problem.

Also, you did not mention the HDHomeRun type: Connect, Extend, etc.

does it stutter if you do a recording instead of watching live or recorded then played in another player(vlc or similar)
