Conflict Resolution does not select re-airing

I had a conflict where the only option to resolve it was to cancel one of the recordings. The one I decided to cancel is a PBS show where the same episode is replayed several times, however, NPVR apparently just cancelled the recording of that episode instead of selecting an alternate airing time? I have that series set to record new episodes but shouldn't it select a re-airing when resolving a conflict?

Also, would there be a way to have some kind of conflict warning always visible instead of having to check the "Conflicts" list all the time?

Unfortunately once you cancel a recording to resolve a conflict, it's up to you to manually reschedule the recording.

@sub - how about firing off the "conflict alternative airing" code for whatever episode (or episodes) is canceled via the Resolve Conflict dialog? A step further would be to inform the user whether an alternate airing was found or not.

There is a utility stickied at the top of the Add-ons forum that will watch for conflicts and send you an email.

@sub - I've wished more than once that "Conflicts" would be displayed on the Pending Recording screen. I frequently look at Pending to see what's being recorded tonight or tomorrow; that's where I'd want to know about Conflicts too.
