I have the latest NextPVR set up and running well for watching live TV and scheduling TV recordings. My recurring recordings are all setup in NPVR.

I had used XBMC and Kodi in the past with various versions, but without live TV. So far I have been using the NPVR host GUI to watch my TV shows, and it works very well.

I just upgraded to Kodi Jarvis 16.1 (default-Confluence) and decided to give the TV plugin another go. It seems to work well now. I can watch live TV, my tuners are recognized, and the program Guide seems to function OK. My recorded shows from NPVR are all imported to Kodi.

My question is this: When watching the shows from Kodi, can the watched TV shows be managed from Kodi? I cannot see an obvious way to delete a watched TV show from the database and hard drive. Maybe I am just overlooking something? For example, when I have watched a show to completion via the NPVR host GUI, I get prompted to delete the show at the end.

Update: found the right-click context menu if the show is selected under TV > Recordings. There is an option to delete the show here. Now I just need to figure out how to send a right-click from my remote ... the mouse thingy doesn't cut it.

This option does not appear if the show is selected under Videos > Files.

If you hold the select button on your remote for a few seconds the context menu will appear. You can delete the show from there.

Well, thanks PossumsDad, that works!!! Awesome!!!

Dang if it wasn't at all obvious ...

I had already hacked my registry to send Shift-F10 (right-click) from a key on the remote, which works with Windows, but unfortunately is ignored by Kodi.

Here is some info on remapping remote buttons on MCE remotes. http://xbmccustomregis.sourceforge.net/remapping.html

This is regarding the Windows registry, so it affects how the remote works with Windows. If you feel the urge to experiment, I recommend exporting the registry key to a .reg file and saving a backup copy. Then do all editing in notepad on the exported .reg file. Double click on the modified .reg and it will run and update the registry. Reboot to implement the changes.

So far I have remapped the "Green Button" to open the Windows 7 start menu. I have pinned NextPVR and Kodi to the start menu, so it is now a simple matter to press the "Green Button", then scroll up and select whatever I want to launch :-)
