I tried to record a PBS program that was supposed to be 1 hour long and the recording is only 1 minute long. There are no errors in NPVR and it lists the recording erroneously as being 1 hour long. Here are the logs (the program is Curious George).

What do you have the application set to in the HDHomeRun Settings utility?

I have it set to NextPVR (although it is now called "BDA compatibility mode").

That'll most likely be your problem. Try setting it to MediaPortal instead.

Would this setting cause random recording problems (most recordings are fine)? There is also a "Default" selection but would you recommend "MediaPortal" instead? Thanks.

Yes...well not "random", but seemly odd results unless you know all the facts. It sometimes causes problems when there is an overlap with other recordings on the same device (like one minute of pre-padding).

'Default' may do it as well. I'm not a HDHR user myself, so I haven't had a chance to test this different application profiles myself.

The problem relates to the way SiliconDust are trying to limit the amount of data they're streaming over the network. With the 'mediaportal' option, they just send everything across the network instead of trying to send a limited set of data.
