While tracking down an unrelated problem in Resource Monitor, I noticed that web.log is being written to continuously. On inspection, I realized it is rolling over about every 1:20 hrs. It just seems to be processing all files in my npvr recorded directory over and over.

Is this normal?

Thanks

That is code that UJB added to cache something optional. I edit it out http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post481246 If you use the modern interface it might not be relevant.

Yeah, I don't think the modern interface needs it.

esk, are you using the desktop gadget?

The class is called all the time whether or not the gadget is running.

Hmm, I don't see any messages like this in my web.log, so I was curious what might trigger it to start.

Not using Emby or anything like it. I am using the desktop gadget with a refresh of 5 min. I have disabled the metadata screens.

Ok. It'd be some bug UJB would need to look at.

(it's nothing to do with the metadata screens - it's something weird NEWA classic is doing, possibly triggered by the desktop gadget)

Ah, I did set the "web interface" to classic (though you probably already knew that). I'm leaving for the weekend, I'll change it to modern and check back in a couple days.

It is part of the NEWA Classic space determination logic, not really a bug it is something the UJB wanted to have when I asked him to remove it because it slows so much down going to my NAS You can probably trigger it by going to the Classic Statistics page. http://localhost:8866/info2.aspx
