I frequently get an error saying the Date value doesn't match the field data type. I looked at the xml (I'm learning this slowly!) and saw this:
<ScheduleTime>
<Start time="14:30" date="2005-00-03" />
<End time="15:00" date="2005-37-03" />
</ScheduleTime>

Most entries just have times, like this:
<ScheduleTime>
<Start time="16:00" />
<End time="17:00" />
</ScheduleTime>

I deleted the date and everything seems fine. Anyone know what's up?

The problem is the date it is 2005-00-03

I think I pass a date object into one of the cdkschedulers set methods. Jrock maybe something in the common class?

Yep, I've been getting the same thing. The month and year are always way-out-there numbers. Even if you manually edit the .xml file it will be incorrectly modified if you 'UPDATE' through the scheduler.

It almost always happens when I edit a recording. If it's a "record season", the dates show unspecified. It creates those out of range dates, instead of just leaving them out.

Hi

Overall it is great to be able to use the priority recordings, but I also have problems with the priorityrecordings.xml file.

When I look at the details of/want to update a priority reocrding the information in it is often altered from I actually typed into the xml file - e.g. it adds start and end dates, start and end buffers, changes whether duplicates are allowed.

Also I find that when I try and cancel or click 'already seen' (either in the orginal GB-PVR pending list, or on the guide, or in the xrecord pending list) for a recording, GB-PVR freezes.

In addition when I am in 'pause live TV mode' and try to shift channels GB-PVR freezes

I also noticed that when I first installed priority recordings, many of the original recordings remained scheduled on the guide and took a time to work through - I couldn't understand for a while why lower priority recordings seem to be usurping ones I had set as high priority until I realised the lower priority ones where these left-overs from before I installed priority recordings!

One final thought - when priority recordings is deciding when to record what, it would be great if it started by trying to schedule the recordings that are repeated least often and then moved onto those that are repeated most often and only dumped a recording based on priority as a second level filter to this. Currently I notice that at the first occurrence it tries to record the highest priority recording - if that conflicts with a lower priority one, the lower priority one gets dumped, even if the higher priority one is repeated and could be recorded instead on a different day.

Sorry for the long list - overall it is great and I can't wait for the next update - is there a list I can sign up to to hear about the next versions of this plugin?

Cheers

I have a list (mostly in my head) and I will post that on wiki.

We have few bugs, mainly related around dates and our number one priority is to make the priority recording easier to use.

The issue with even though a recording is higher priority, record on a different date/time logic is probably a bit away.

Great.

The workaround for the 'higher priority, record on a different date/time' bit that I found is to enter the priority in order of which is repeated least often (the less often it is repeated then the higher the priority) as well as what my favourite programs are. That seems to work!

Cheers

Thanks for all the attention! I love the idea behind priority recording. I have no idea how to tell IF It is working, though! So far so good, I suppose.

Question1: What happens if you schedule a season record AND you have it on your priority recording list? Should you not do this?

Question2: How do you CHANGE the priority? I know you could edit the xml file, but it would be nice to do so from that screen in xrecord.

1. You should probaly only use either the built in scheduler or CDK scheduler
2. In xrecord hit the yellow button then move up and/or down

It's a real cool feature.
