I am not sure if this query should be here or in the NEWA discussion, sorry.

I am running NextPVR 3.9.2 on a Windows 10 PC and can access the guide etc from another PC on the network. What I can't do is access the stuff from outside the network, regardless of what username/password combination I enter. I have a DDNS registered with no-ip.org and port forwarding is set up through to 8866 on the NPVR server. Using Chrome on Android, I can see the login screen via the DDNS service but it consistently returns username/password invalid even after altering the info, restarting the service and even rebooting the PC. Although it shouldn't matter, I also tried it without success with the server firewall completely turned off.

It isn't a case-sensitivity issue - everything was entered in lower case both in the Clients section of NPVR setup and on the login screen via Chrome. I'm baffled but suspect that I am doing something simple wrong, so feel free to call me stupid if you have a solution.

In 3.9.2 both the default username - admin and password - password have to be changed.

Thanks very much. I knew it must be something stupid on my part - I had changed just the password. All I have to work out now is why the guide doesn't populate over the mobile connection but does when using a PC on the network.

Edit: in fact, none of the pages populate - they just show the menu and headings.

Typically that indicates the WAN security session has timed out (I think 5 minutes) and it needs to be refreshed. On a PC browser that is a ctrl-F5 not sure over mobile.

It happens more or less instantaneously. Login moves within a second to the What's New/Live TV page, which just displays "Live TV. Review what's on now, and watch live tv..." So the page is part-loading and the browser progress bar has completed its traverse from left to right. It does the same thing if I then request the desktop version of the site using the Android Chrome browser, ie: displays the title but no content. Same for all other pages.

Refresh makes no difference. The same incomplete pages are downloaded.

sitush,
Don't feel like you are the only one. I have had the same problem(s) you have mentioned for a long, long time and was never able to come up with an answer. Sad, but I just do not use it because of this problem.

RTKAT I checked your old post and you were posting about inewa I think this thread may be about news modern interface but I may be wrong on that. Note one unfinished thread I noticed you were talking about your server IP and ujb was talking about the client IP.

For clarity, I am using 3.9.2 and had problems with both the classic and modern interfaces. The problems went away after changing both the password and the username, as well as resetting the PIN (same 0000 value, just re-entered it). I've got another problem with the modern interface not cancelling scheduled recordings but that is for a different thread.
