I am attempting to use NextPVR with an IPTV service, following your YouTube guide.

I have URLs for IPTV channels and XMLTV and I add these to the Import Channels screen. The Channels list is imported successfully. When I click OK I get the prompt “Would you like to update EPG” but this completes immediately without checking for XMLTV listings so all channels display “(no show details)”.

As a workaround I select “Channels” plus the “Details” for the first channel. I set EPG Source = XMLTV and this enables me to enter the filename of the XMLTV file. If I specify the XMLTV url this causes a temporary file copy to be created in \AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\IE\4XZWO7OP\xmltv[1].php

I can use this file to add the XMLTV listing information and, via Bulk Edit, can auto map the remaining channels. This workaround is far from ideal as the XMLTV file is static and must be manually updated.

Log files are attached.

I'm using NextPVR 4.0.4 (170820) on Win10 1703 15063.674 64bit

All advice appreciated.

I am aware of one issue that can happen with the XMLTV mapping with a couple of IPTV providers. Try installing this patch:
https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...post518105

(even though that thread is entirely unrelated, it includes a fix for this XMLTV mapping issue)

After installing that patch, delete your channels, and reimport them. Hopefully that gets you going. If it doesn't, PM me to let me know what IPTV service you're using and we'll discuss further.

Thanks. I installed the patch, restarted all and selected and deleted all channels. Re-import of playlist and XMLTV OK. EPG update OK. Fix confirmed good. Thanks.

I also note that this now imports the channel groups - these were missing previously.

Good stuff. Thank you for your help.

Sorry to revive an older thread, but I am having the exact same issue.

I am however using the lastest version of NextPVR. Would this patch already be included in 4.1.1, or is the fix still to download the patch linked below?

Never install old patches on new versions.

I suspected that might not be a good idea.

But to ask again, is what was in the patch included in the latest version? Should I be looking elsewhere for a solution to my issue?

Yes, it was included in the latest release. Your issue is likely something different from the issue above, albeit with similar symptoms. If you ok with sending me a PM with the m3u and xmltv files, I'll take a look. You can edit the m3u to do a search and replace, to remove any username/passwords first. You can either post them here, or PM me a download link.

JayDee, try this updated NShared.dll, then delete your channels and reimport them.
