Not clear on ff and rw.

It seems that from all the treads on fast forward and rewind that maybe it works for some? Is it something I should keep trying to get to work, or does it just not work for anyone? Skip works fine, I just have to make sure I let it finish a skip before doing another, or it does the same as ff, and that is lock up. Is this being worked on?

If you're talking about FF/RW like you would see when pressing those buttons on a VCR while watching something, I don't think I've ever had that work right w/ an mpg on a windows machine. At best, it jerks forward like a skip.
