IR Blaster with freeview in UK

I want to use freeview in the UK with my pvr 150 and wondered the best way to do it. I want ir blaster to change the channels..and wondered if it would do this on a freeview box.. also is their an external freeview hauppage device that the ir blaster will control.. any advice please as I need to increase number of channels to record...thanks

Does the freview box accept RC5 commands? If not does it accept IRDA? If the latter you out of luck. Have you tried scanning it?

The following links to an IR Blaster that I have, it's excellent. It does either IRDA or RC5 but you need to set it up (it comes with a simple demo program, very easy to do).
