been trying to figure this out for a while now. Everything works fine as long as I'm on the same network. But when trying to play live tv from external network then video freezes and I can see that the NPVR server just stops streaming. I have attached the web log which shows when it happens.

Thanks for any help

Yes it does. I also see this in the log. Been trying to figure it out.

Code:
2018-05-31 12:20:12.534    [ERROR][4]    Unexpected error streaming channel: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Send(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags)
   at NShared.Streaming.StreamingHelper.StreamNative(Socket conn, Dictionary`2 parameters)
2018-05-31 12:20:13.535    [DEBUG][4]    StopStream(1900545)...

Thanks Martin

additional info.. Used to use mediaportal and it streamed great but found that NextPVR has much better picture quality so would love to get it working.

Thanks again

did another test. This time in chrome on external network. Previous was on android client. web log showed same as before except a few differences.

it didn't have
Code:
[DEBUG][26]    This shouldn't happen...
at the end of the log.
but still had
Code:
Unexpected error streaming channel: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (0x80004005): An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host
at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.Send(Byte[] buffer, Int32 offset, Int32 size, SocketFlags socketFlags)
   at NShared.Streaming.StreamingHelper.StreamNative(Socket conn, Dictionary`2 parameters)

Also the Nextpvr status showed tuner continued playing the channel and ts files continued to fill up web/temp folder. unlike with the android client the tuner seems to stop playing channel.

But both android client and through web browser I get the Unexpected error streaming channel message.

When you're streaming to the android or web app, it'll create a .log file in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\web\temp. It'd be worth collecting this immediately after the problem happens.

here you go sub.. didn't include it before cause didn't seem like there was anything in it that would help but I'm sure you know better than I

Thanks - unfortunately no obvious sign of issues there.

Do you see the issue locally, or just externally? I know you'd indicated externally, but was that mainly because you're focusing on doing it remotely, and watch locally using NextPVR itself.

If just remotely, then only significant different is network speed, so we might need to try a lower bitrate.
