So I resurrected my media center so that i could use my colossus 2 with it. have everything setup, even the blaster is working in wintv8. I have setup everything in nextpvr but am getting unable to communicate with recording service. i have made sure that the clients where installed. any idea's why?

i figured it out, just rebooted my computer, lol.

When I use NextPVR v 4.0 to watch Live TV I get the message "Unable to communicate with recording service" and no programs I have scheduled to record show up in the default directory (It's empty). NextPVR was working fine, but something has gone awry as I have described. Can anyone help me?

It sounds like your recording service isn't running. Did you try rebooting?

I understand the logs are supposed to be in the NextPvr program folder and there is supposed to be a folder named Logs but there is none. I see no NextPvr logs.

Never mind. I uninstalled NextPVR version 4.0, reinstalled NextPVR to the NextPVR directory and now NextPVR is recording. I'll wait for 1/2 hour and see if the shows I recorded are  OK (as they have always been).  I'll see then if all is as expected.

NextPVR Settings --> About --> Click the button to zip the logs ... The zip file is added to a post by clicking the Add Attachment button in the forum at the bottom right ...  Then click once to select the zip file and then click again to attach the zip to the post.
