I keep posting in the NextPVR support forum about the Auto Extend Sports option and all 3 times it has been deleted, but the thread remains. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I don't know, I didn't see the posts but it's unusual for posts to be deleted as this small forum is generally only frequently by polite and considerate people who are respectful and appreciative of the people who contibute to this community and the fact that this software is freely available to use (although donations are most welcome to help keep the project alive and well).

So if for example, people are unreasonably critical of the software (that they haven't paid for) or have unreasonable demands about what they can expect from the community, I could imagine a post or 2 having been deleted but you'd have to have been really have been throwing your toys out of the pram to have 2 of your first 3 posts deleted!

[edit] We also like to keep things curtious here so you generally don't find any swearing.

Thank you for the response. It was definitely courteous with no complaining or swearing. I was just asking for an explanation on something. I made a post, then edited it and after the edit, the post was completely blank. Someone made a comment "I love everything about this thread" and I responded saying that my post had been deleted and I typed in the information again. I came back later and my response was gone.

Yesterday I saw that "I love everything about this thread" comment which made no sense at all to me; as a mod I could see the original post, nothing seemed unusual about it in any way, but I didn't notice that the post had been moderated until now. I don't think anyone did it on purpose; aside from sub I'm about the only one with mod powers who's reasonably active, I know I didn't do it and tend to doubt sub did.

I think the forum software tends to auto mark posts by new users if they include a link in them (on the assumption they're probably spam), so that a moderator has to explicitly approve them. I'd read the posts, but didn't actually notice they said they needed approval.

weird, I found a couple of other auto-moderated posts, including one of my own! it looks like vBulletin is being hyper-sensitive about URL's in posts, even when the URL's don't really point to anything, like local URL's for NextPVR services
