Firestick,Kodi and nextPVR won't connect.

Running tuner card on PC and nextPVR works fine on PC. I have a Firestick attached to TV with Kodi 17.6 downloaded and working fine. When I select nextPVR in the TV button on Kodi comes up with 1) Hostname 2) Port:8866 3) PinCode 0000. It never connects (RUN) indicator never works nor does a check mark appear next to "nextPVR". The settings on the PC version client are also set to 8866 and 0000 with checkmark in "Enable Web Server" and "Allow Remote Access". I also have added the ip address of the PC which in this case was 192.168.1.162.

Firewall getting in the way?

You'd probably need to post the logs for us to be able to tell.

Made sure debug was on on Kodi(Firestick). Tried to get nextPVR going again with and without Hostname(ip address). Went back to Error Log and there are no error. Only states "Kodi successfully started" which was there before I tried nextPVR again.

At one time I was using PLEX and had no problems connecting to client other than Plex would continuously drop the stream with a error message which I don't remember. So I got rid of PLEX.

The only connection attempts I can see in those logs are from the local machine. I'm guessing maybe you've got firewall/antivirus software getting in the way.

From a browser on another machine, can you open http://192.168.1.162:8866 ?

Part my mistake 162 was not active. PC on 192.168.1.246. So I gooogle that from another laptop and was able to access NPVR. Then I went back to Kodi on the Firestick and under Hostname tried 192.168.1.246 and 192.168.1.246:8866 and could NOT access NPVR

Try going into the nextpvr addon settings in Kodi and go to advanced and turn of Time Shift.
That fixed the problem for me Running Kodi 17.6 and nextPVR Client addon 2.4.13 on my fire TV.
I hope that this issue will get fixed in an upcoming version of the nextPVR addon, because I would love to use that feature.

Timeshift is much better in v18.0 which had it's final release today.

Turned time shift off. Had no impact. NPVR still does not show as installed.
