Hello everyone,
I just downloaded 4.2.4 on a test machine and am encountering the same I had with the last upgrade where as the IPTV channels would max out the cpu at 100%. With the last upgrade SUB suggested I use an different NShared.dll file. I tried that with 4.2.4 but it does not help. Does anyone have a fix?
Thank you for your time.

There was an updated NShared.dll post after 4.2.4 which would resolve a situation where some IPTV provider channels would fall back to using ffmpeg (high CPU), rather than NextPVR directly handling the stream itself (low CPU).

Hi, which CPU do you use? I.e. how many cores does it has? My core i3 has two cores and shows 50% CPU load with "Sat>IP" device usage -> 100% if it would be only one core …

i5. It has nothing to do with the cores. It has to do with the Dll File. I went thru this with last 2 updates.
Thank you,
Bruce

This problem wasn't about the protocol, some IPTV streams where being transcoded by ffmpeg on the fly unnecessarily.

This explains the 100% all cores CPU load.
