iPad 2 updated NextPVR app and not sure it should have but now app constantly crashes

NextPVR was working perfectly on my old iPad 2 until this most recent update. Any way to go back to 1.7? The app opens then as soon as the channel list populate or maybe even right before, the app crashes every time. I have completely erased my iPad and installed only it, and it still does it. The previous version worked with no issues. NextPVR is awesome and love that you all have given me a use for my old iPad 2. The new 2.0 version says on the website that it requires iOS 10, but my iPad is running 9.3.5, which the App Store says. But maybe this isn't supposed to install on my iPad? I think the App Store should have not allowed me to update to 2.0. But it did and now it crashes. Please make it work again. Help!!

I'll try loading it up to see if it is anything in the data that the new app doesn't like.

I just checked the app store, and I'm seeing it say it supports 9.3 and above, so you should be ok.

Yes, but I am thinking the 9.3 compatibility is a mistake with this new version. I am thinking the limit should be iOS 10, so that iOS 9 downloads the 1.7 version. But I am guessing. The current app version works okay on my newer iPhone and iPad 2018. But I tried to download it on an iPhone 4 also with 9.3.5 and it crashes the same way. I have attached the file you requested. I am still on version 4 of NextPVR. Kodi and the web portal work okay everywhere else still. It's just on these iOS 9 devices. I appreciate any help you can give. Thank you!

I'm not aware of anything that requires iOS 10, but I'll recheck.

So you briefly see the app before it crashes?

Yes, it opens and usually the first time, like after a reboot or app kill, it will start to list the channels and then it will crash. If I immediately try again, it may get to that screen, and I may see some of the channel logos or not before it crashes, but it never gets beyond that. Both the iPad 2 and iPhone 4 do the same thing now. I also checked if I could play with Safari, Chrome, or Firefox. I have never tried that, so I'm not sure what the behavior normally is, and the web GUI comes up okay but nothing will play. It says it's playing but I don't see anything. That's probably and iPad thing and it's always been that way and I never knew, and probably not related to the app problem. It just means I don't have another way around using the app.

I've just downloaded the older 9.3 simulators, and tried the application, but didn't have any problems. At this stage, it was just with a fairly empty database. I'll try yours soon.

Well, that's good news. So, how do I go about cleaning out the database if that's the problem?

I managed to find an older iPad Mini 2 (running iOS 9.3.5) here, and was able to see the problem. It related to the sizes of integer values in Swift 9.3 on older hardware. I've submitted an updated version to Apple. They usually only take about one business day, so hopefully late Monday, early Tuesday.

That's amazing you found it so quick! Wow, it's awesome you care so much about this. That old iPad really doesn't work well for anything else so NextPVR was about the last good thing I could use it for besides some old games. I can set it up in whatever room I'm in at the time.
