Where do the scan templates get installed from? Like /usr/share/dvb/atsc/us-ATSC-center-frequencies-8VSB-062009

I deleted mine in the hopes that a re install would fix my scanning problem, but they did not reappear.

It's part of dtv-scan-tables installed by apt.

Good, however I thought your problem with QAM so not sure why you messed with the ATSC file.

I deleted the entire dvb directory because I thought that re installing nextpvr would put a new copy. But it turns out deleting doesn't do the same thing as apt remove; apt thought the dvb-scan-tables was already the newest, since I never told it I deleted it.

BTW, I found out that in Ubuntu you can install dotnet as a snap, but it installs to the /var/snap/dotnet-sdk directory which is a useless place for it. I just moved it to /opt and renamed the directory..

The command is snap install dotnet-sdk --classic

Yes deleting apt managed packages manually is a bad idea. That is why sudo is required

The deb installer will do dotnet installs for you and in this case sudo dpkg -i nextpvr-helper does install dotnet because it is not managed by apt. Not sure why you are trying this manually.
