Watching Currently Recording TV Show. Play stops.

backend: Win10 NPVR,
frontend: RPi3 Kodi + NPVR addon

Timeline:
12:30 pm: TV show started recording. (will end at 2 pm)
12:35 pm (5 min into recording): I start playing the recording from beginning
12:40 pm: The play suddenly stops. (This is at 5 min mark). I resume playing at 5 min mark. At this time, the TV show has 10 minutes of recording
12:45 pm: The play stops again.

How to fix so that it continues to play while recording?

PS: I tried live TV but it would not go back to the beginning of show.

It is a problem in some versions of the add-on but we'd need your Kodi debug log.

It is getting so tiring asking for logs though I am giving up replying to posts without them

Unfortunately it's a Kodi limitation while watching recordings over http. The same thing happens with the other PVR backend options that use http too. Several kodi users have been bugging their development team to fix this years.

TY. I suspected it was Kodi not NPVR issue.

It should work now though since Kodi addressed this in v 18.

I'm on Libreelec Leia (up to date, v18.2)

I tried to reproduce the bug and create the log. Start recording at 8 am. Start watching (on Kodi) at 8:01 am. Kodi abruptly stopped playing at 8:02 am. I went to NPVR/logs directory. NRecord.log doesn't have any lines after 8:00 am. I can't find any other logs around 8 am. Which log should I post? FYI, this is the last part of NRecord.log

If you start too close to the beginning it might stop the first time. I know I need t wait about 30 seconds.

You should also turn of sd art downloading there I a bug in v4 that was fixed in v5.

10:34 am: start playing the TV show
10:37 am: TV show stopped abruptly

Any help will be appreciated.
