I decrypted one of your urls from the logs, and it looks like they're using a quite different approach to other IPTV providers. It looks like they're using a token on the url, which I'm guessing changes each day (rather than a username/password on the url, and same url each day)
If you've got a contact email for the Hive support, can you PM it to me? I might just check with them on their preferred way for me to work with their urls.
I can say this morning that the URL (token) changes each day. Explains why I have to keep reinstalling the source for fresh scan of the channels. So the question Martin raised about "why the @3.5.1 step is being called" is a non-issue? There is no direct support email to Hive, only backdoor through a sub. I might be able to get you his email addy but you would be working indirectly. Kinda messy, sure you want too? Might be easier for me to just use a different secondary source that doesn't use tokens. Beast doesn't change URL's and NextPvr works fine with it.
Hmmm, that's a good suggestion, probably would but, as a work around, I don't want to have to hit update every few hours or each day. I would loose a lot of recordings. I'm onto testing another sub so took Hive out of NextPvr as a source due to its dynamic url's. If you would really like me to test Hive, with EPG update, to see if it resolves this thread I could do try it tomorrow. So far the new sub has recorded 3 shows without a hiccup. I'm gonna let it record thru the day.

No, but it was just a test to see if scheduling it to happen automatically every x hours (or at a set time each day) would be enough
It can but you don't know how long the tokens last so with without this information you can't build a dependable system. You could set it to update hourly and then if it changes after 1.5 hours you could be in trouble. You also have several recordings happening and the general rule is not to do recordings during an EPG update.
