I know that MadVR is properly supported in v5, but my question is any of the encoding possible to simulate the quality improvement from MADVR?
Also what stage is v5 in ? Release Candidate or Late Beta 2? (Windows comparison)

Why do you assume it is properly supported? NextPVR.exe is still work in progress. From the posts I've read even standard decoders are still having issues.
Also why are you posting in the v4 forum? In reality why do not do your own comparison tests using a MADVR supported player and see if you can see the difference. Whether or not the file is from v4 or v5 won't matter. Martin

I understand you know a lot about NextPVR, but the v5 install confuses me a bit. Can I copy the files to another instance and have both installed and setup?

Yes follow these steps https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=59913 if sub's basic install in too hard figure out.
